Prof. Dr. Tobias Jaag has many years of experience in Public Law as a lawyer, judge and academic on the federal, cantonal and local levels. Mainly, he is active as a consultant for public administrations as well as for individuals.

Career

  • Since 1981: Attorney and Counsel with Umbricht Attorneys Ltd.
  • 2015-2023: President of the Appeals Commission of the Evangelical Reformed Church of the Canton of Zurich 
  • 2008-2022: Member and Vice President of the Administrative Tribunal of the Bank for international Settlements (BIS)  
  • 2008-2009: Visiting researcher at the Université Robert Schuman in Strasbourg
  • 2006-2008: Dean of the Law Faculty of the University of Zurich
